My sister just joined the electrical union no experience and they are starting her at 38 an hour! Ima leave the factory soon and do the same thing but I want to do plumbing
So my dad had been pluming for years makes about 50/hr he said I would need to learn before I can work with him I am going to college In a few months is there a way I can learn?
not everywhere pay that much sometimes they ask you to be a sales men / plumber and that's the part l don't liked l like to do plumbing but not sales and that's when they pay you more again sales /plumber
😮
Can I study for plumbing , and electrician ?
….. what about laborers? Laborers are needed more than any other trade just saying.
I know a few bricklayers that make bank in the union
My dad is a commercial plumber works for a company he makes about 56 a hour and once he’s done with the certain job depends on how well he budgets makes about 200k -300k on top of his regular salary
Only has a journey man in Texas
I'm @ 80K in Austin, TX and I live paycheck to paycheck…… Masters like to keep all the extra I've found
Drywaller and taper 50 to 80/hr

He forgot Elevator Mechanics. Solid pay for those guys.
Plumbing in FL you’re lucky to make 85k as a foreman! It’s very sad how they pay tradesman here.
Don't forget a Plumber can fit but as fitter cant plumb , plumbers have license and continued education every year but I'm make right at 50hr apprentice at hall best thing i ever did
My father is a pipefitter/steamfitter with the local 597 and so was my grandfather. It's definitely good work
his number are not accurate because this data is from a lot of ppl who do plumbing as a side job, if ur really good you could be make up to 200,000$ a year maybe more
What if you get a ged and a trade school for plumbing is that still good
Hi . I'm just getting started in plumbing and want to know if it's a good idea to go self employed or to be employed by a company ? And roughly how long until i can be doing jobs comfortably alone raking in cash ? Can somebody please share their knowledge with me 🙏
I’m 30 been working at Costco for over 3 yrs now doing maintenance. Was thinking of getting into plumbing. 🤔
Yes! Thank you.
If I could go back in time I’d become a plumber but I’m almost 30. Too late now 😢
Moms hot water heater is leaking constantly.. her son changed the pressure relief valve and it still does the same. You can here a spewing sound constantly..my question is can the heating element be constantly heating. She can't afford a plumber or new hotwater heater
How about hvac
I think they need a better category. It should be service plumbers. Service plumbing starts at 100k now.
Will I still be able to take journey man test ? I’ve been plumbing 3 years , bought all plumbing books, have certifications and some awards, but I have never had a title as a legit apprentice just been getting the certs and jobs. I’m couple years or sooner I’d like to take the test. Any advice? Or am I still good as long as I show I’ve been working the trade for the recommended amount of time?
Im a plumber and net 120k plus yearly
I’m a second year making 34k a year. I like the job i just feel I’m not making enough. Have thought of a career change but idk.
I'm a mechanic who made 115k last year and most of that was sitting in my office. Union baby! Hahahahahahahaj
I’ve got no idea but my Arminian uncle in law owns a plumbing business and is rich asf and is teaching me as I go … should I go to school to it’s pretty easy to do just long days
Depends on the state. Im in Massachusetts and if you want to be a licensed plumber you also have to be a licensed gas fitter. Most jobs are paying around 45 – 55 an hr for journeymen. Its a hard gig with tons of overtime, not for everyone.
My bosses dad makes 400k a year with two guys beneath him running his own company. And that’s his take home
Some unions make it unnecessarily difficult to get the right training, many professions do that, scared of co-opetetion…
I need your help ??
