  1. Hard critique from me. No offense. One: bed the pipe fully with dirt until it has the correct fall while leaving maybe 6in of no dirt towards the end where you are going to glue the next fitting. Two: level your wye first before you put another fitting in the wye. Three: do not pre primer the other joints, only primer the joint you are gluing at the time. If you need a reason for that here’s my opinion, when you primer a joint you are cleaning that’s joint to the fullest which has a better chance of not having dirt/dust/ or any type of micro conflicting barrier to the glue. If you primer joints that you are not gluing to yet it has a chance to getting dirt/ dust to stick to that primer before you glue and it could work still or it would cause a leak to happen down the road because of the bonding not being 100%.

  2. A mound of dirt works great, but you didn't grade the pipe before installing your wye. If you're off, it'll throw off the angle of your wye. That's why I use a mound of dirt with it at proper fall then I can glue all of it together with no dirt in my fitting and a properly aligned wye.
