  1. When you're looking at how well a material can mitigate sound is look for an STC rating. Mineral wool like you used has a very high STC rating around 45 depending on the thickness. Corrugated plastic is also a good mitigation material.

  2. As the decibel scale is logarithmic, a reduction of 10 decibel = a reduction factor of 10 times… a 20 decibel is 10 times MULTIPLIED by 10 times = a reduction factor of 100 !!

  3. When last time descaled. I can't see the entire photo but guessing the outlet does not look right and bend at pump box and 90 above plus height from box. Call sanipro and they will explain. 90s bad two 45s good. Did you hard pipe the outlet or use the plastic tubing. It will work but more noise, clogging and stress on motor.
