  3. Fucking Ontario man, always gotta make shit complicated.
The rest of us just get our Red Seals and aren't bitches. Red Seal to Master's to business license. Maybe there's a difference for Amps and Voltage you can pull permits for, but that's about it.

  5. Trades, military…. Jobs for people who want to be efficient and are career oriented. My mum cannot support three boys for university so I think to take electrician license and provide my family better future. Personally I ll want from my children to study in university.

  6. Ya well meanwhile here in Alberta we got a nice pay cut last 5 yrs, so 40 + hour an hour is hard to find now. Journeyman rate is from 31/hr to 40. But them lower rates are rather too common. And if you didnt do Canadian schooling you can also end up working for 15/hr, even if you were in the trade for 10 yrs, did your own projects and have directly related collage education.
Many companies also seem to be looking for 1st, 2nd year apprentices to keep cost down even further. I haven't seen an add for 4th yr in months:(. Some contractors also choose not to pay at times if they underbid the project or just because they can….
Good luck, do your school on time and try to get employment with big companies, where it helps to be a non smoker.
    Work is also economy dependent….
Engineering can perhaps be a better option or other university education based profession.

  7. I am 25. I was told that I am way too old to become an electrician even though I have experience in the field. And that I would only be a labour at best. If you have any tips pls share! I live in toronto
